Technology Enthusiast, PC Gamer, Streamer
Current Games:
I tried to have a list here, but it kept changing too much. Lately I've been playing games involving science, engineering, and sims. I also enjoy FPS.
History:
I’ve always been a bit of a computer nerd. I had access to a Tandy 1000 at a young age, teaching myself how to program using DOS .bat files and then BASIC programming language. Later, getting a 1200 BAUD modem, I dialed into local BBS servers before the internet came to be as we know it now.
In early 2001, I built my first gaming PC sporting an AMD Thunderbird 900MHz CPU, 256MB RAM, and GeForce2 MX 32MB video card. While ordering these parts, the TigerDirect agent on the phone talked me into trying CounterStrike, a new Half-Life mod. This was the beginning of my multiplayer gaming life. Needing a gamer tag, I chose PoolShark because I had the nickname “Mark the Shark” at the local pool hall.
After multiple gaming rig builds, life got busy and I decided to give mobile device gaming a shot. During that time, I met some new friends and helped found FOG in 2012. Although mobile gaming was our focus, I also began playing PS3 and PS4 with the group. Leading up to this point my true FPS gaming love has been with the BattleField franchise, including BF1942, BF2142, BF2, BF3, and BF4. In search of an active BF clan, I joined OSC in 2016 just before the launch of BF1.
Then, after a 10+ year break from PC I decided to build a new gaming rig in 2017. I’ve also become Twitch Affiliate in Feb 2018. In Mid-2021 I built the new PC shown below and the old rig was turned into a media and VR computer/server.
